The NSW Coat of Arms was granted in 1906. This Guide provides a brief overview of the major sources in our collection that relate to the official coats of arms.
Official coats of arms refer to the Royal Coat of Arms, the NSW State Coat of Arms and coats of arms assigned to or assumed by State Govenment agencies. [1]

NSW Government Gazette
The Government Gazette dated 22 February 1907 Vol.1 pp.1345-46 has a printed copy of the Royal Warrant dated 11 October 1906 granting Armorial Ensigns and Supporters for the State of New South Wales. This includes the design of the NSW Coat of Arms.
