#OnThisDay 19 January 1932 the first train crossed the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
An old goods train engine which has been in service all over New South Wales... made history today when it hauled the first train both ways across the Sydney Harbour Bridge The train comprised two vans, and carried a few privileged persons. The journey was made to test certain railway expansion points.
