#OnThisDay 25 April 1929 the Cenotaph in Martin Place, Sydney, was first used in Anzac Day commemorations. The Cenotaph was commissioned by Premier Jack Lang and designed by Sir Bertram Mackennal. It was dedicated in 1927 and officially unveiled on 21 February 1929.
