The files (NRS-13654) date from 1842-1887 and cover the entire state. Each file documents the process of becoming insolvent and typically contains an estimate of assets and debts made by the person as well as claims by creditors. They often provide intimate glimpses into a person’s daily life e.g. the clothes they were buying or the medications being purchased from their pharmacist.
