Note 1:
All bundles ending prior to 1826, or parts thereof up to the end of 1825, are included in the Archives Resource Kit (*ARK) and are indexed in the Index to the Papers of the New South Wales Colonial Secretary, 1788-1825 . The reels which form part of the *ARK are indicated by the use of bolding.
However, please note that the Van Diemen's Land volumes ([4/6576-79]; SR Reels 6071-6072) were late additions to the Colonial Secretary's Papers 1788-1825 project and, as a result, their indexing is very incomplete. For the most part only general entries relating to prominent persons were made. The relevant section of the Summary of Colonial Records in the Colonial Secretary's Office, 1788-1826[5/2331] has been filmed with the papers to assist with their use.
